Print - Hlobane: Mossops Leap: 28 March 1879
Hlobane was probably the most dramatic event of 1879 campaign when Colonel Redvers Bullers force had to fight their way down the Devils Pass from the top of Hlobane mountain. Jason Askews painting stunningly depicts Trooper George Mossop with his horse Warrior leaping off the mountain. Warrior was to die of his wounds next day. Colonel Buller was later awarded a Victoria Cross for his actions that day. Fine art edition image size: 530mm x 320mm, overall print size 640mm x 460mm.
